There aren't any major drawbacks with this treadmill. The remote seems cheap however it's effective, make sure to ensure that it is flat on your hand and not sideways; otherwise it won't work as it should.

No Inclination

Something I really enjoy using on a treadmill, but you won't see in the Citysports treadmill is an incline feature as walking on an inclined terrain burns twice as many calories and builds up those tough-to-train leg muscles. This is, however, an under-desk-mounted treadmill that is designed to burn off a few calories, and that's all there is to it. It's impossible to work at a desk as you take a walk on an inclines which is why a lot of people don't own one.

Finally, this treadmill is light. Being light can be helpful when moving and storing a treadmill, but the light design can make them feel a little unstable as they lack that extra weight to help keep the treadmill firmly on the ground. I've found with light treadmills that treadmill mats help to keep the treadmill stable, and can help to absorb much of the vibrations from your exercise routine, which can be useful if you live in an apartment.
